From Green Monday to Christmas Eve, 14 – 24 Dec 2026. Most of these prices are Cyber Week deals that never went away, so the real race is against stock and shipping deadlines, not discounts.

Christmas sales are the tail of Black Friday
There is no single Christmas sale day. From Green Monday, the second Monday in December, to Christmas Eve, most stores keep or repeat their Cyber Week prices, then switch from discounts to delivery promises as the deadlines get close. December is about catching those prices before stock and shipping time run out.
Shipping deadlines matter more than discounts
A 10% saving is worth nothing if the gift arrives on the 27th. In 2025 USPS recommended mailing Ground Advantage by 17 December and Priority Mail by 18 December, and UPS and FedEx two-day services needed to ship by 22 December. Expect similar dates this year, and remember the carriers call them recommendations, not guarantees.
Last minute? Pick up in store
Buying online and collecting in store sidesteps the shipping deadline. On 23 December 2025, 39% of online orders at retailers that offered curbside pickup used it (Adobe). Check the store's stock for your exact item before you set off.
Ask for a gift receipt
Many stores extend their return window for December purchases into January, and returns jump straight after Christmas: Adobe counted 1 in 7 of the 2025 season's returns between 26 and 31 December. A gift receipt lets the person swap the gift without seeing the price.
