Evernote is the note-taking app that made the "second brain" idea popular: notes, web clips, scanned documents, tasks and a calendar in one place, synced between phone, computer and web. Since 2023 it has been owned by Bending Spoons, an Italian app company, and its plans and prices have been reshuffled more than once since then.
Today there is a Free plan and paid Starter, Advanced, Flexible and Unlimited plans. We haven't found an Evernote coupon code that works. The real savings come from how you pay: a year up front instead of month by month cuts Starter by 45%, and college students can get 40% off a year of Advanced.
What's happening at Evernote right now
On 23 October 2026, Evernote's plan page listed Starter at $14.99 a month or $99 a year, and Advanced at $24.99 a month or $249.99 a year. Its student page offered 40% off Advanced, and paid plans start with a 7-day free trial unless stated otherwise.
Where the real savings are
Yearly billing is the biggest saving, and it is biggest on Starter: twelve months at $14.99 is $179.88, while the yearly plan is $99, so you keep $80.88. On Advanced the gap is smaller, $299.88 against $249.99. If you are a college student, the 40% student offer on a year of Advanced beats both.
Check what you need before paying for Advanced. Starter's 1,000 notes and 3 devices are plenty for many people, and you can upgrade later from the same Manage Subscription page.
Cancel the trial in time
Free trials of paid plans last 7 days unless stated otherwise. If you cancel before the trial ends, your card isn't charged, so set a reminder for day six.
Timing beats coupon-hunting
We haven't tracked Evernote prices over time yet, so we can't say whether it runs seasonal sales. The yearly plan and the student offer were the savings on offer when we checked.
